One person from Nagaland was killed and three others seriously injured when the Maruti Van they were traveling in collided head-on with a truck on National Highway 37, near JB Road crossing, under Jorhat district, Assam, Tuesday around 2 p.m.
According to reliable sources, the Van was part of the motorcade of an MLA from Mon district who was on his way to Mon from Dimapur.
Of the three injured who were admitted to Jorhat Civil Hospital, the condition of one was stated to be critical. The deceased could not be identified at the time of filing this report. Sources also informed that the MLA had already reached Mon.
