State RJD members resign; joins NPF

Former RJD candidates and the RJD state executives hasve formerly decided to resign from the RJD party, Nagaland unit and join NPF party under the leadership of Dr. Shurhozolie and state chief minister, Neiphiu Rio.
Asserting the reason for resignation, former RJD candidate, T N Mannen, on behalf of resigned party functionaries, in a statement said “in-spite of the fact that due to the RJD Party’s performance in the last Assembly Election in Nagaland which had elevated the status of the RJD Party from a Regional into a National level, yet the Central Party leaders have not been supportive of the state party issues for revamping and other problems of the Nagaland branch so far.”
Therefore, the statement said ranks and files of state RJD were “disillusioned with such condescending attitude of the Central leaders and non-functional attitude of the State party leader.”
Further, the release said it also felt important to groom “Home Grown” political party (NPF), adding “it represent the Naga aspiration for a United Naga identity.”
It went on to assert that it was high time for Nagas to change their mindset and get out of the dependency syndrome.
“We need to look up to our inner strength, depend and rely on ourselves than looking up only to others,” the statement maintained.
“This is in line with the NPF party goals. This is the main reason for deciding the progressive group of the RJD functionaries to quit the Party, and join the NPF Party and make it grow in strength,” the release said.
The first batch of the resigned RJD functionaries include T. N Mannen (IAS (Rtd) 23 Impur A/C; E.r. T. L. Semdok 50 Longleng A/C; P. Yibemo Kikon 37 Tyui A/C; N. Yeangpong Konyak 41 Tizit A/C; W. Chen-Nyeim Konyak 45 Tehok A/C; H. Changlemba Chang 51 Noksen A/C; K. Kaimang Chang 54 Tuensang Sadar II A/C; T. Thsaponkyu Sangtam 59 Seyochung-Sitemi A/C; R. Tsapikiu Sangtam 60 Pungro-Kipheri A/C; Kyothungo Ovung 38 Wokha A/C.
Meanwhile, resigned state executives include R. Tsapikiu Sangtam sr.vice-president; Subong Jamir vice president; C. Sashi Naga vice president; Hukato Sema general secretary (organization); Ahoto Sema general secretary (finance); Akuto A. Tuccu general secretary (media and frontal); Vikugha Sema general secretary and Qhetovi Assumi general secretary (admin) youth front and Thungkhomo vice president.
