WSU: Wapher Students Union has lauded the effort made by Yimchunger Tribal Council, for exhorting the students and contributing their unflinching services at the 40th session of Wapher students union. Union president, P.Kurak, has thanked chairman executive council YTC, Shillumthong, and his team for showing a bright vision for betterment of student community and public in general. Union also thanked YTC for donating in cash towards students and village council. Union also thanked director mission possible Yimso, for donating cash to village council, students, WBC and CYE.
YAA: The planning committee of 43rd general conference of Yimchungru Akheru Arihako and Huker Village Students’ union golden jubilee has extended gratitude to Nagaland chief minister, Nephiu Rio, for gracing the function as chief guest. The committee in a press release issued by its convener, S. Lakiumong, also thanked minister for road and bridge, G. Kaito, and parliamentary secretaries, Yitachu, Torechu and R. Tohanba for their presence and helping aiding the union financially and physically to host the conference. Organizing committee has also appreciated S. Akhumba, AIDG (S), DIG Range, Tuensang, commandant, 3 NAP, SP and DC, Tuensang, ADC Shamator, officers, invitees, delegates, village council, Ayipongru village, for making necessary arrangement for helicopter landing and clearing the road between Ayipongru and Huker villages, and other for making the conference a success.
CPBC Ward-20: Congress Polling Booth Committee (CPBC) Ward-20 of 2-Dimapur-II A/C has extended gratitude to MLA Sungit Jamir for his noble gesture shown to the residents of United Colony, Dimapur, by blacking 100km road stretch within the locality. The committee in a press release issued by its president T. Kenneth Lotha, also thanked NPCC president, K.V Pusa for selecting I. Kilen Aier as DCC president for which the committee hoped for his tireless endeavour for the interest and welfare of all concerned.
NPF Dimapur: NPF Dimapur division official in-charge, T. Shuya and CEC member central office, K. Sohilo Tep have lauded NPF Dimapur youth wing office bearers for their initiative to hold meeting to discuss matters relating to ensuing parliamentary election with senior party leaders and former candidates. Expressing happiness and appreciation for upholding such meeting, NPF Dimapur division secretary, K Sohilo Tep in a press note urged youth wing to work tirelessly for the success of the party in the ensuing election. The release has also urged its members to work tirelessly and cohesively to bring unity and strength, and to add sound atmosphere for a stronger base within the party members in the state. Further, it has appealed NPF division members to adopt and keep up the spirit as divisional youth wing, for a success of NPF under the leadership of chief minister Neiphiu Rio.
PSU: The Pochury Students’ Union has extended gratitude to O. Isaac Jamir, ADC Phek, Chonpa Jurry, DIS Meluri, and Z. Katiry for gracing the 52nd general conference of the union as chief guest, guest of honour and speaker respectively. The conference was held from January 13-15 under the theme ‘transforming society’ hosted by the Phor Village Students’ Union. The PSU also thanked all leaders, elders and delegates from different units, the host units and villagers for making the conference a success. Further, the union has informed that a new team of office bearers was elected for the tenure 2009-11. The newly elected team includes Alung K. Trakha as the president, Yalethong as the vice president, Chüsasie Pojar as the general secretary.
UNBC: Upper Nagabazar Baptist Church (UNBC) Kohima, led by pastor Ruokuowhelie with 20 youth undertook a seven day outreach gospel tour to Nimtar, Gangtok in Sikkim, Darjeeling and Mirik in West Bengal from January 10 to 16. The team has expressed gratitude to those who contributed financially and morally in making the tour a success.
ASU: The Akuk Students’ Union has expressed gratitude to all individuals and groups who had contributed financially, materially and physically towards the union during its 59th annual session held on December 27 and 17th Late Thungbenshan Kikon Memorial Tournament held from December 29-31. The annual session was graced by C.Y. patton, bank officer as the chief guest and Robin Humtsoe, director, Basileia Mission Organization as the theme speaker. Meanwhule, Alon Odyuo, vice president, NPF Wokha district, was the chief guest for the tournament. The ASU has further wished all HSLC, HSSLC and degree students good luck in their upcoming exam and encouraged the students to “strive for excellence”.
KSCU: The Khuzama Students’ Care Union has extended gratitude to NPCC president, K.V. Pusa, the Neikha, Khizho, Lüho and Tsükrü clans and various individuals and organization for their financial and moral support towards the union during its education tour. The KSCU officials along with some high school students of the village visited historical places and education institutions in Delhi and other cities in North India from January 4-16.
ANSTA: The All Nagaland School Teachers’ Association has appreciated the initiative of Kohima DPDB under the chairmanship of Dr. Nicky Kire, for introducing a scheme of award for HSLC candidates of the 16 Government High Schools within Kohima district. President of ANSTA, Kepelhoutuo Chüsi, stated that such award would inspire and encourage the students. He also stated that such gesture reveal the concern of the DPDB for students of the weaker section. The ANSTA further expressed its hope that the scheme of award would be introduced in other districts of the state.
NST: Nagaland Sector Transport (NST) has expressed gratitude to various departments for rendering goodwill services to the sector after a gap of a decade that have been neglected by the state government. A press release jointly issued by the union president, H. Sadang Chang, and general secretary, Wapang Ao, said the appreciations have been extended to PWD department, Tuensang, for renovating circular road at NST sector under the initiative of Er. C.K Chang, executive engineer, S.T Among Chang, junior engineer and Nuken Ao also a junior engineer of PWD, Road and Bridges, Tuensang, separate pipe line in the sector under P. Ngamen Chang (JE) and Namang Chang, supervisor, power department for installing new transformer in the sector that has been initiated by Er. Lhuvoyi, SDO (electrical), division I and II and to Lemba Chang, SO. The release has also requested the department concerned to provide more facilities and development in the sector.
