AR prohibits entry of civilians to Shiroi

With the Shiroi stand-off on its eleventh day, there appears to be no sign of any climb down by both the 17 Assam Rifles and the NSCN(I-M) even as tension prevails in Ukhrul district, Manipur.
Manipur chief minister, O Ibobi Singh held a cabinet on Thursday at 5 pm along with security agencies of the Unified Command which he chairs
The state cabinet reviewed the law and order situation in the state in general and Ukhrul district in the wake of stand-off between the NSCN(I-M) and troops of Assam Rifles at Siroi village.
After reviewing the law and order situation of the state, the Cabinet reportedly took a decision to direct district police and police stations to remain alert to face any eventuality arising out of any situation.
Reliable sources disclosed that there were around 30 armed activists including some women with arms are in NSCN(I-M) camp.
