Irked over the state government’s apathy, the East Circular Road Development Board (ECRDB) has decided to impose indefinite road blockade in the five kilometer stretch of East Circular Road between Mission Junction/Kitsubozou Seikhazou to NH 150/ Checkpost Junction near BSF camp, Kohima from February 9.
The ECRDB chairman Moselie Kuotsu and secretary Vilhoubeilie Solo in a memorandum to DC Kohima said no vehicular traffic will be allowed to ply along this stretch of the road indefinitely.
The blockade has been called to register protest against the government’s apathy and total neglect towards improvement of the road.
However, the district administration, paramilitary, medical and media have been exempted from the purview of the blockade.
