Twenty young girls were selected Wednesday to enter the Miss Vocal Flair Contest during the audition at Dream Café Kohima. The selected twenty will combat for the ‘Miss Vocal Flair’ title on March 7 at Government High School ground, Kohima.
A total of 35 girls registered as participants for the audition, with Dr. Tolto Metha and Azi Tetseo, as judges streamlining the set down to 20. The selected group included Kekhriesenuo Rioh, Anatoli Zhimomi, Apenla Thonger, Wabangla Ozüküm, Nancy Magh, Imisangla Ponger, Vicilu Venuh, Vilakhonuo Keditsu, Donika Chishi, Ringbungmei, Aienla, Alito, Ave, L. Narola Jati, Vileno Kapu, Neimenuo Soliezuo, Keneiseno Terhüjah, Vezotalü, Neiphreü Miachie-o, Vilazonuo.
The prize money for the winners of the competition is Rs 15,000 for the winner, and Rs. 10,000 and Rs. 5,000 for the second and third runner up respectively. They will also be awarded certificate of merit from the department of women welfare.
The solo singing competition for girls is being organized by the department of women development in commemoration of International Women’s Day.
