Farmers’ training in Kiphire

ATMA, Kiphire, organized farmers training cum demonstration programme on April 17 at Kiphire town.
The resource persons of the training included Mishento, DHO Kiphire, S.N Singh, DSCO Kiphire, Yhusenlo Kent, SDFO Kiphire, Allen WDT, land resource department, Dr. Mapu, DVO Kiphire, P. Demo, district sericulture officer, Kiphire and Setsuba Sangtam, AFA (Agri), Kiphire.
According to G. Kiyevi Ayemi, SDAO and project Director (ATMA) Kiphire, various topics on farm mechanization, rearing of silk, package and practices of orange cultivation, graded contour trenching, paddy cum fish culture, lemon grass distillation and back yard poultry farming were covered during the programme.
Altogether, 35 members including progressive farmers representing agri and allied departments and heads of department as resource persons attended the training.
