Acting on a tip off, special branch, Saturday around 2.30 pm arrested one extortionist from full Nagarjan, Dimapur while demanding money from a cement shop (Mahalaxmi cement store) located at the area.
According to special branch officer in charge H.K Sema, the extortionists took Rs. 2000 on Thursday and Rs. 12000 from the shop keeper on Friday.
Special branch team identified the arrested person as Boto Sumi of Shikuto village under Niuland sub division, Dimapur while trying to extort money from the owner of Mahalaxmi cement shop at full Nagarjan. Special branch personnel also said that four of his accomplice were still absconding and were on the look out to arrest them.
