Eyilo Ministry under Lotha Baptist Church Dimapur conducted fellowship programme for the PLHAs on August 11 in Dimapur district hospital Chapel Hall attended by some 30 members including seven persons who were infected with HIV and AIDS.
In a press release issued by Abeni Ovung, secretary Eyilo Ministry said HIV and AIDS had no boundary and can attack anyone further stated that instead of hating and discriminating against such people, the society should work together to reduce the spreading rate which is very high in the state.
Earlier the programme was led by Meripeni Prem, women leader LBCD, prayer and welcome note by Mar Pongener, Chaplain Civil hospital Dimapur, Dr. Temsu MO ICTC, blood safety also spoke on the importance of church’s initiatives and Rev. Chumben Kyong offered prayer for the PLHAs followed by Sungsabeni Jami, who was the main speaker for the occasion spoke on the theme, ‘Good news.’ The benediction was offered by Rev. Zanao Mozhui Pastor LBCD.
