DIMAPUR: District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) meeting was held across state. In Zunheboto, the meeting was held held on October 13 at the DC’s conference hall, Zunheboto. Reviewing the last meeting minutes regarding the establishment of Medical Sub-Centre at Lukheyi village, the Chief Medical Officer Zunheboto, Viheshe apprised the house that Lukheyi village being surrounded by Lithsu village, Auba A and Aquba B village comprising of at least 3000 population and more over situated at the border road between Zunheboto and Kiphire. In regard to this the board decided to approach the higher authority for recommendation.
With regard to the retrieval of Treasury office and State Bank of India to Aghubato Sub-Division, DC Zunheboto, Kughato Chishi said that agenda had been recommended to the higher authority earlier and is being processed for retrieval.
According to an official bulletin, the two schools have been approved for recommendation for providing grant-in-aid that is Woodland School, Zunheboto and Coco Mount School, Akhuhaito and with regard to creation of new Health Sub-Centre at Phuye new village the board could not approve as it does not fulfill the criteria. Regarding construction of Sub-Court at Naltoqa the board discussed and differed to the next meeting.
Meanwhile, the monthly meeting of Phek District Planning & Development Board (DPDB) was held on October 12 at DC’s conference hall under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner, Phek, Mikha Lomi. The meeting resolved to recommend the agendas of opening Government Primary School at Phokhungri Town.
Grant-in-aid for infrastructural support for Chakhesang Mission High School, Pfutsero and Royal Foundation School, Phek was also recommended.
The Board also constituted the Implementation Committee for LADF 2009-10. Phek PWD Executive Engineer (R&B), Vezodel Khatso presented departmental profile and its activities and said that five projects/works under PMGSY had been completed and six projects/works are in progress. Presentations were given by Chozuba General Manager (Industries), Jongpongtuba, Phek Superintendent of Taxes, Imlilemla Longkumer. The board also entrusted Sericulture, Social Welfare and Mechanical Departments to present their respective departmental activities in the next DPDB meeting.
Mon: Mon District Planning and Development Board Meeting was held under the chairmanship of ADC Mon, Chumremo Odyuo on October 15 at DC’s Conference hall. The board after lengthy deliberation recommended and forwarded the following Schools Sayiang Middle School, Shiyong village, Noel School, Mon town and Government Primary School, Lapalampong Tizit for upgradation to the responsible Department for approval.
The board also constituted Verification Committee constituency wise for implementation of LADF Program 2009-2010. The ward president of Tezaha colony Mon informed the House that due to heavy rain, houses damaged, pipeline disconnected and roads blocked because of landslide creating hardship especially for the students. In this regard, SDO Civil, Mon Sadar, Hiazu Meru appealed the concern department of PWD (R&B) and PHED to physical verify the spot and take necessary steps. SDO (R&B), Chinglang said that JCB had been already deployed and roads will be cleared within two to three days. ADC (Planning), Those Angami gave a brief report about the conduct of Inter Departmental Badminton Tournament held from October 8 to 10. SDO civil, Mon Hiazu Meru informed that all the Gazette officers of Mon district are the members of the Officers Club and requested the DPDB members to become an active member of the club.
Longleng: The Monthly District Planning & Development Board meeting for Longleng was held on October 6 under the chairmanship of deputy commissioner Longleng, C.K. Nihekhu Sema at the conference hall of DC Longleng.
Reviewing the last DPDB meeting minutes the chairman informed the Board about the programme for conduct of RTI seminar on October 9 to all the PIOs and APIOs of the district. Longleng DPDB also verified the capability of SHG under Longleng district and handed over candle making machines to SHG Neucham SHG, Yongmye and Hoimei SHG Ponga and power tillers to Shitap VDB under Longleng district.
The DPDB also approved the annual action plan VDB under Grand-in-Aid for 2008-09 of RD block Tamlu amounting to Rs. 55, 22,340. The beneficiary villages include Tamlu, Kanching, Namsang, Shamynching, Ngetchungching, Shitap, Latigarh, Yongnyah, Nian, Yongam, Yongshie, Tangha and Netnyu. DPDB also unanimously approved the Grand-in-Aid to Christian School and Christ King School Longleng and fund for participation of District Football Association. Board also approved the selection of location site for C. Company 6th NAP at Naga Junction Longleng about 20 acres of land.
