Power supply to Mon town disrupted

After slight rain on November 15 power supply to Mon town was disrupted for the past 5 days. Although it is a known fact that the school students are appearing their final exams, the electrical department is in no hurry to repair the damage. It may be mentioned that the general public of Mon town are getting used to facing irregular power supply, especially after rain, be it slight shower or rainstorm. When contacted, T.I Sangtam, E.E (Electric) clarified that there was a technical snag between Mokukchung and Tuli which was beyond his jurisdiction. He also said he had contacted his counterpart and has assured of restoring power by the same evening.
