ORWs, NSACS has urged the project director NSACS to consider the suspension of services of all ORWs under NSACS by March 30, 2010, as per office order with a condition-subject to terminate the services without notice based on performance report.
ORWs in a press statement said it learnt from a reliable source about the move, and said that it was proved beyond doubt that ORWs played a crucial role in identifying, motivating and mobilizing not only ANC but also general clients in availing basic services especially in rural areas.
It also asserted that it cannot be denied that some ICTCs were manned only by ORWs as far as functioning of units were concerned. ORWs requested the director to review and reconsider the move of premature suspension of ORWs for the larger interest of the public.
