Hornbill Music Festival, Day three

On day three (December 3 Thursday) the Hornbill Music Festival 2007 will witness country music, and blues and veteran’s nite starting 4.30 pm at the Naga Heritage Village, Kisama, organized by the Music Task Force (YRS), Nagaland. The production and events are managed by XL.
On Day two, Wednesday night, the NEZCC anchored the Music from North East.
Meanwhile, the Airtel Hornbill national rock contest, 2009 starts on December 4 till 7. On December 4, ten bands will take the stage and the remaining ten on December 5.
On December 4, the contest would be launched formally with Dr. Mukhul Sangma, Deputy Chief Minister Meghalaya as the chief guest. On December 5, the screening of the bands would take place and the list of nine (9)finalists will be announced .
On December 6, the achieving bands of past Hornbill National Rock contest Eximious, Diatribe and XTC woudl do the curtainraise for the guest band ‘Five Little Indians’.
On day seven, December 7, state chief minister Neiphiu Rio would be the chief guest and would give away prizes tot he winning bands.
The Hornbill National Rock grand finale would be held on December 7
Five bands -OFF, Dementia, Sunep Essemble Band and Melodrama and Incipit would be representing the state.
Bands selected from outside the state for the Hornbill National Rock Contest 2009 are Abraxas, Pune, Maharastra, Baraka, Darjeeling, West Bengal, Chronic Xorn, Kolkata, West Bengal, Hypnosis, New Delhi, Kanglasha, Manipur; Lucid Recess, Guwahati, Assam, Phobia, New Delhi, Pip of the Fourth other, Shillong, Meghalaya, Silver screen, Kolkata, West Bengal, Stacy’s Penitence, Mizoram, The Pot, Stone and Blues, Ahmedabad Gujarat, Harmonic Curtains, Assam; Church OV Blood, Arunachal Pradesh: Kailka, Darjeeling, West Bengal and Cleave, Manipur.
On all days, the show would start from 4.30pm onwards
Taking a step ahead and for the first time and also to promote the music industries and audio visual, the Music Task Force (MTF) has tied up with a local cable operator courtesy NM Cable for live coverage (Telecast) of the Hornbill Rock festival so people could sit at home and watch the bands performing live.
