NPF rejects K.Therie’s deficit figures

NPF today rejected K. Therie’s allegations on financial irregularities in the state, saying his statements were not only “wishful thinking” but reflected his “arrogance”.
NPF press and media bureau vice-president T.L. Merry said Therie should not be worried about the deficits or borrowings, because those were aspects in consistency with the developmental strategy of the DAN government.
He said that development under the DAN government deserved due credit for it brought funds and development to the state.
He pointed out that appointments in government sector were a “laudable effort”, as it indicated that government was taking “people friendly decision” especially when there was absence of employment opportunities in private and corporate sectors in the state. He claimed that state government, despite constraints, did not halt the process of regular recruitments in government sector in view of creating employment for the youth.
Merry also urged people of the state not to be apprehensive, as in due time all budgetary aspects of the government would obviously be considered, discussed and approved by state legislature during the forthcoming budget session.
Further, stating that public was not as “naïve” as Theire would like them to believe, Merry said public understood the implications and nuances very well, and that would not be influenced by such “incoherent utterances…”
