Tikhir Students’ Union (TSU) has extended support to Tikhir Tribal Council (TTC) in its resolution to extend cooperation towards the ongoing peace process of Naga political issues to maintain peace among the Nagas. A statement issued by TSU vice president, M. Jongyanthong also expressed union’s support for TTC efforts to conserve “cordial” relations among various factions under Tikhir inhabited areas and also for peaceful coexistence with neighboring tribes.
Meanwhile, TSU has informed all government/private employees designated under Tikhir jurisdiction, particularly schools and institutions to be present at their stations and resume regular duty.
Union stated that it would be conducting surprise checks and cautioned that any one found absent or irregular would be solely responsible for any “untoward” circumstances.
