Joint meeting in Mangkolemba

A joint meeting of NPF 29 and 30 A/Co and departmental staff of Mangkolemba Sub-Division, Adhoc Town Committee, ward members and GBs of Mangkolemba was held on May 14 with parliamentary secretary housing Er. T. Saku Aier as chief guest.
The chief guest in his speech called the members for better co-operation and understanding among government and societies for the development of the sub-division so that various government schemes and projects were implemented to benefit the people of the area. Saku also called upon the teaching staff to be more sincere towards the student community for quality education. During the discussion hour the house discussed topics including up gradation of Adhoc Town Committee, Mangkolemba to a full fledged Committee, restoration of sub-treasury at Mangkolemba which was shifted out in the early 90s due to security reason, restoration of functional manager office in industry department, better performance from the food and civil supply department in achieving total pubic distribution system, to approach the government for an ITI training centre at Mangkolemba, upgradation of government high school at Mangkolemba to higher secondary, to look after the road connectivity in Changkikong road and Japukong road. The meeting also agreed in principle to share and give full co-operation for accurate, thorough and genuine enumeration for the National Enumeration Programme.
