Kyong Naga Cultural Society (KNCS) branch office was inaugurated at Wokha town on July 31 at LTC Hall Wokha town.
With its motto ‘Strengthening cultural heritage’ Kyong (Lotha) Naga young generation of the Kohima Town formed the Kyong Naga Cultural Society (KNCS) in the year 2008. The society was formed with its aim to research, preserve and to promote the Kyong (Lotha) Naga culture which was on the verge to disappear.
Anthony Ngullie SDO (Civil) Wokha was the chief guest for the function. Ngullie delivered important points and suggestions for improvement of the society and Kyong (Lotha) Nagas in general.
Basing on the cultural religion, he said church was the biggest platform in the present society and suggested the gathering to modernize culture through the way of folk song, dance, dramas, plays, songs, etc. Short speech was also delivered by Zuchobeni Ezung, Chairperson, Kyong (Lotha) Eloe Hoho, Wokha. The society branch office inaugural prayer was delivered by Rev. Sulumo Ezung, Pastor Wokha Town Baptist Church while associate pastor, Nzamo Ngullie, Assembly of God Church Wokha town delivered benediction.
