CSU: With a view to sensitize the locality on cleanliness at Chozuba town the Chakhesang Students’ Union (CSU) conducted ‘sanitation awareness program’ on August 7, where around 700 students along with teacher representatives from all over the schools under its jurisdiction participated in the program. The program started with briefing on ‘Importance of Sanitation’ by Kholie Keyho, former principal, and ECHSS Chozuba, followed by planting of trees around the local ground by senior students.
Meanwhile, the union conveyed its heartfelt gratitude to Temsunaro Aier, ADC, Chozuba and Nuvotsolu, DIS, Chozuba for their financial and moral support towards the success of the program,
Hurong: Hurong villagers under Kiphire district organized a mass social work on July 24 at Kiphire-Lukhami road between Changchor and Kichang village where the road was heavily blocked by land slide for nearly one month The village council acknowledged the villagers for their co-operation in voluntarily clearing up the road blockade, now plyable for vehicles in the said area.
Etsuchukia colony: Etsuchukia colony ward no. 18 considering the importance of sanitation and health care, in collaboration with the district administration and advisory board committee members of Wokha Town Council (WTC) organized a day long social work in and around water pump area on August 9. The ward has expressed gratitude to the volunteers of the colony and also appreciated the keen effort of deputy commissioner, additional deputy commissioner, Wokha and members of the advisory board Wokha Town Council under whose initiative, a JCB and Dumper was pressed in clearing off the sewage.
It has further informed all the residents of ward no 18 to abstain from littering waste matters in and around the water pump henceforth.
Bhandari : In view of Independence Day celebration at Bhandari the Forum of Senior Citizens of Bhandari division conducted a social work on August 10.
