DIMAPUR: The Network of Nagaland Living with HIV and AID (NNP+) in partnership with Yingli Soceity (YMS) Longleng organized a one-day Advocacy Campaign on HIV and AIDS with stakeholder on the theme ‘Together we can’ at Lempong Hall, Nyengching Longleng on 19th August 2010 with PS to Parliamentary Secretary for RD & REPA, Changlong Phom as the Chief Guest.
Changlong Phom while speaking on the theme called for joint efforts of all sections of people including government, churches and civil societies in fighting against HIV and AIDS, starting from their respective village level.
The speaker also mentioned the unavailability of services like ICTC and DAPCU in the district.
He further reminded the quality services rendered by MOs and ICTC staffs for the cause and assured full participation in mobilizing resources for primary prevention of HIV, treatment care and support.
SP Longleng, Sonia Singh IPS also delivered a short speech on the topic ‘HIV and AIDS-challenge to humanity’ and Dy. CO, Dr. O. Kongyan Phom presented the district HIV and AIDS updates.
The concept briefing of the campaign was delivered by Administrative Officer, LFA Kohima, Viki Assumi and General Secretary NNP+ Lanu spoke on HIV and AIDS – A Reality while a special number was presented by Crossroad Band of Longleng followed by entertainment session.
