On the occasion of Mahatma Gandhi’s birth anniversary on October 2, Nagaland Pradesh Youth Congress (NPYC) submitted ‘memorandum’ to state governor Nikhil Kumar on implementation of NLTP Act and also urged the state government to Act in the right perspective.
NPYC stated that there was no total prohibition but under the name of total prohibition in the state, liquor is being soled in every small shops at an exorbitant price.
Most of the available branded liquor in these shops were found to be adulterated and many consumers falling prey to such spurious products, NPYC president Kuputo Shohe stated in a press release.
NPYC further reaffirmed its commitment to support NLTP Act so as to restore the hope of the youth in its endeavour to build a strong and prosperous Nagaland.
