Small tea growers’ meet

All Nagaland small tea growers’ association attended a stakeholders’ consultation meeting at Guwahati on November 10.The meeting was conducted by Horo, IAS (Rtd), ex-chief regional executive, tea board zonal office. The representative of ANSTGA I Imi Yaden, general secretary and V Kashiho Sangtam, executive member deliberated to the house the road map for Nagaland small tea growers. The representatives also apprised the tea board official to look into the grievances of small tea grower in the state by imparting training/exposure/education tours to the members of tea growers and also to set up a branch office of tea board either in Kohima or Dimapur. In a press statement issued by the president, ANSTGA, the tea board officials assured to extend every possible help in granting fund to the growers to form self help group for better assistance and better transparency.
