Demolition of govt building

The PWD (Housing) Dimapur division condemned the unauthorized demolishing of government building no. PW/77 at PWD colony Dimapur.
According to Er. Kahuli Sema, executive engineer, PWD (H) Dimapur division, the demolition was carried out by Er. Temsumeren SDO (PWD) National highway Kiphire division allegedly to encroach the department land.
The executive engineer also informed that a show-cause notice was served to the SDO and sufficient time given to him to reconstruct the building with certain instructions but failed to comply with the notification.
In this connection, proceedings would be initiated for appropriate action to the department in the interest of the public service for destroying public property without the approval from the government, stated the executive engineer.
