In view of the forthcoming nomination of village council members (VCM) and village council chairmen (VCC) in the state, Rengma GBs’ Association (RGBA) has appealed to all villages under Rengma area and Nagas in general to cooperate with respective village councils. RGBA urged council to select persons having good leadership quality, integrity, education, and capable of delivering all round development to villages. Stating this in a release, RGBA president Gwachung Chung also appealed the public to maintain conducive and peaceful atmosphere during the process of nomination of VCM and election of VCC, by avoiding use of alcohol and indulging in unwanted activities.
