ASAN decries CTE exam

Voicing concern over the recently conducted NPSC combined technical examination (CTE), 2011; Agricultural Students’ Association of Nagaland (ASAN) in a representation to the secretary NPSC said that “the system” in which agricultural candidates was competing in NPSC has turned out to be “sheer luck game and unfair”. ASAN president, Chubatemsu and gen. secretary, Mhalevilie said the recently conducted CTE, 2011, agriculture paper I & II was exactly the same– “blueprint”. ASAN also alleged that the questions set were a “replica from the book– Objective Agriculture for competitive examinations by S.R. Kantwa.” Some of the questions were also put in the same chronological order as it was in the book, it alleged. Further, ASAN said even a candidate from non-agri background would have fared well in the exam, provided they had a copy of the book. ASAN in its representation demanded– nullification of the Agri science paper I& II, CTE, NPSC, 2011 and to re-conduct the exam; to blacklist the name(s) of the question setter(s).
