DIMAPUR: A recruitment rally will be conducted at Zakhama (Nagaland) from April 25 to 27 for recruitment to 164 Inf Bn (TA) (Home & Hearth)Naga.
The recruitment will be open for male candidates belonging to Nagaland only, and conducted for 5th class passed candidates of Nagaland for the post of Soldier Tradesman (Chef Community), for 8th class passed candidates of Nagaland for the post of Soldier General Duties (GD), and for12th class passed candidates of Nagaland for the post of Soldier Clerk General Duties (GD). The screening of candidates will commence at 7am on April 25.
The eligibility conditions for various categories are as follows:
For soldier (GD) category: Only candidates from 18 to 42 yrs of age i.e. born not before April 27 1969 and not after April 27 1993 (both days inclusive) and those who have passed minimum 8th class, are eligible.
For soldier clerk (GD) category: Only candidates from 18 to 42 yrs of age i.e. born not before April 27 1969 and not after April 27 1993 (both days inclusive) and who have passed the 10+2 /intermediate Exam in Any stream (arts, commerce, science) with min 50% marks in the aggregate and min 40% marks in Each core subject are eligible (in addition to this, the candidates should also have studied English and mathematics/accounts/book-keeping as compulsory subjects in the 10th standard). In case candidates are graduates and above, simple Pass in 10+2 standard is adequate. 20% bonus marks be awarded to candidates who have qualified in and possess valid certificate in computers (Basic Computer Course) and typewriting, obtained from the DOEACC (‘A’ level certificate).
For soldier tradesman (chef community) category: Only candidates from 18 to 42 years of age i.e. born not before April 27 1969 and not after April 27 1993 (both days inclusive) and those who have passed minimum 5th class, are eligible.
The medical examination and documentation of all candidates will be done on April 26 and 27 at Zakhama Military Station.
Medical examination will be conducted only for those candidates who have passed the physical fitness tests, physical measurement tests, and whose documents are found to be in order.
Candidates are to be in possession of the following documents in original along with one xerox copy of each document (duly attested): Education certificate, character certificate (should not be more than six months old as on the date of the recruitment rally), 12 nos passport size colour photographs (front portrait, without headgear), permanent residential / indigenous certificate, Schedule Tribes (ST) certificate and sponsor certificate.
