Tree plantation to mark ‘Earth Day’ in Peren

DIMAPUR: To commemorate the 40th anniversary of ‘Earth Day’ on April 22, the society for protection of ecology and environment, Peren district would be joining ‘Earth Day’ celebration on April 30 in New Peren District HQ.
Minister planning and co-ordination, V and AH, parliamentary affairs and evaluation and chairmen, DPDB T.R. Zeliang and the deputy commissioner and chairperson, society for protection of ecology and environment, Peren district Khreinuo C. Metha would attend the massive tree plantation programme.
To spread awareness, the society for protection of ecology and environment, Peren district would also organize a “signature campaign” to show solidarity with the rest of the international community fostering shared responsibility to build troubled relationship with nature.
