A talk on ‘Servanthood Leadership’ with Dr. Thompson

DIMAPUR: A talk on ‘Servanthood Leadership’ based on Biblical perspective was held from April 26 to 28 at the Centre for Community Transformation, Walford, Dimapur. The program was initiated by Bethesda Youth Welfare Centre, Dimapur (YWCD) for the young leaders of diverse profession and facilitated by WC Humtsoe executive Director of Bethesda Youth Welfare Centre.
The resource person was Dr. John Roy Thompson an associate in the International Foundation, a missionary, philanthropist, social networker and a humble servant of God.
He conducts seminars in alcohol and drug counseling and rehabilitation, and consults church boards and organizations on creating a grace-based model of leadership. He has been privileged to share in countries in Europe, Latin and South America, Africa and Asia. His Ph. D has opened educational doors to teach in various institutions as well. He recently received Certification as a Life Coach from the Center for Transformational Coaching.
Dr. Thompson can also be found with the Presidents, Prime Ministers, Ambassadors and Senators, Policy makers, Clergies, Entrepreneurs, Social Workers and Businessmen  at Washington DC, Tokyo and Singapore as well  with  the Common people in the high mountain villages of Cambodia, Indonesia, Nagaland and Manipur in  North East India connecting people in the true likeness of Christ.
A former minister  and former Director of International Centre for Urban Trainings (ICUT), City Team Ministries, an Jose, California, USA, he and his wife Bonita Thompson, a retired School Principal currently lives and also helps run a home for girls in difficult circumstances called “Home of New Beginnings” at Bangkok, Thailand.
He has traveled and spoken many times in Nagaland at different levels for over 20 years. He commented “In that time I am privileged to have developed relationships with many dear Nagas”.
