In a tragic accident, Kikanungsang, president of Dimapur Chuchuyimlang Union, was killed when the car in which he was traveling (NL-07C 0402) to attend the Moatsu festival at Chuchuyimlang plunged into a gorge ten feet below the road under Santipur P.S. near Silonijan Monday at around 5am.
Three others were injured. The injured included- Watisangla (20) with a fracture in her arm and leg ; Chuba Jamir (28) and Lipok (46) who sustained minor injuries. The 3 injured were rushed to K.K. Hospital, Golaghat and later shifted to Zion Hospital Dimapur.
Funeral service of the deceased would be held Tuesday at the family residence at 3 pm at Nagarjan, Dimapur. c
