Keeping up with the holistic vision of the school which includes spiritual nurturing, the Vineyard School Kohima, conducted an evangelistic day camp for students of classes 5 to 8 from May 5-7 in the school premises.
The three-day camp was held on the theme “Get to Know Him” with Tabitha Philips, of Mumbai, presently teaching at Shalom Bible Seminary (SBS) Zubza, as the main resource person. More than 70 students attended the camp.
Features of the event included short talks on selected topics, fun learning, singing, video shows, movie sessions and quizzes among others.
The camp, according to organisers, was put together with the objective to let the children understand the meaning of ‘salvation’ and implications that follow.
Underscoring that many people claim to believe in Christ without really knowing Him, organisers expressed hope that the student campers got to “know Him better” during the three days of learning and fun. The camp concluded with a get-together of students, parents and teachers of the school.
