So Chelsea lost 1-2 to Manchester United at the Barclays Premier League on Sunday. But instead of focussing on his game, Ashley Cole is channelling all energy into winning his ex-wife, Cheryl back.
The Chelsea defender is said to have recently updated his BlackBerry messenger status to “I want my wife back!” and is struggling to come to terms with Cheryl moving to the US for The X Factor USA.
A friend told the News of the World: “It has hit Ashley like a ton of bricks that Cheryl is leaving. He’s distraught and has begged her to give him one more go. “But Cheryl no longer speaks to Ashley and he is in her past. She’s about to start the most important period of her career. He shouldn’t be making this harder for her”.
“Ashley still believes Cheryl wants to give him one more chance. He thinks he’ll be able to change her mind.”
Another source adds that, while Cheryl love her ex-husband, but wants to make a new life for herself in the US.
