NNC president Adinno Phizo has greeted the Naga people on the occasion of 60th Anniversary (1951-2011) of the Naga Voluntary Plebiscite on May 16. The NNC president recalled how the Naga people (99.00%) opted for a single national identity and simultaneously affirmed the Naga Representatives formal declaration to the world on August 14, 1947 that Nagaland would stay independent.
