Campus Icon 5th edition

The first audition for Campus Icon 5th edition organized by Team Metamorphosis was held on May 14 at Christian Model High School, chapel hall.

Out of 13 contestants, 10 were selected for the 2nd audition which will be held on June 25 at Mt. Sinai School Wokha. 

Looking at the broader musical market outside the state, the organizers have decided to give Hindi music a stage in the 3rd audition which will be held in the month of August. 

This edition, the Campus Icon will receive a cash award of `15,000 only along with a citation, while the 1st and 2nd runners up will receive `10,000 and `7,000 respectively. 

The six finalists will get a privilege to go for a live video recording along with the previous Campus Icons. 

An outstanding award for Academic Excellence also waits the Campus Icon if he/she secures an excellent grade in the end term examination (Team Metamorphosis gives an academic sponsorship for the following academic session). 

Campus Icon is born of a vision to give a platform to the students’ community in the field of music and so has its theme “Music for better education”. 

One of the judges Pipo Sosang Jamir was of the view that Campus Icon has improved over the years and felt this edition’s contestants were better. 

Pipo has been helping the event organizers since its first edition in 2006. He is not only a music lover but also an ardent musician.
