WSTH: Western Sumi Totimi Hoho (WSTH) has condemned the “diabolic act of rape” and murder of a minor girl on May 14. The Hoho urged the authority in-charge to book the culprit and award exemplary punishment.
CSU: Chakhesang Students’ Union (CSU) has strongly condemned the April 20 incident at Phek town where a minor girl aged 4 years, was raped by one Ravohu alias Manau Singh, 60 years old police constable.
In a press release jointly issued by Esther Rhakho, president and Kewelhilo Rabvo, general secretary, CSU stated that in the present context, women have no place to move freely unless such anti-social element and activities are stopped.
The union urged right thinking citizens to condemn such barbaric and uncivilized act and said such distorted personalities have no place to live in a civilized society. It further appealed the responsible authority to award a befitting punishment to the accused at the earliest as per the nature of the law.
