A vocational training centre at Ahthibung set up under the aegis of Mother’s Organization Ahthibung (MOA) was inaugurated on May 14 at Ahthibung.
Col. P Kabthiyal, C.O. 32 Assam Rifles was the chief guest and Maj. Rajindra, 32 Assam Rifle the guest of honour.
In this regard, the MOA has expressed gratitude to Col Kabthiyal and Maj. Rajindra for rendering contribution in building up infrastructure and equipments; L. Limsong, joint secretary Border Affairs for donating a sum of `20,000 towards the training centre; Temsuwati Longkumer, SDO (C) Ahthibung and Adhoc Town Committee Ahthibung town for facilitating a building for running the training centre.
The organization further hoped that the vocational training centre would help in promoting a better life prospect for the unemployed and helpless rural mass.
