Naga hoho: Naga Hoho has out rightly denounced the “shameful act” of Worshim Tangkhul and his accomplice over the assassination attempt on Imtila at her Kohima residence on May 27. The Hoho stated it was high time that every Naga citizen reasserts their position by shunning away from gun culture and exhibit earnest desire for peace and security .The Hoho appealed to the law enforcing agencies to nab the culprit without delay and also requested different groups of national workers to trace out the two assailants. Hoho further extended support towards the initiatives taken by Ao Citizens of Kohima under the aegis of Kohima Watsu Mungdang seeking for peace and harmony in the land.
TUK: Tangkhul Union Kohima (TUK) strongly condemned the assassination bid made on the life Imtila Jamir by Worhsim and his accomplices on May 27. In a release the TUK termed the act as “cowardice, barbaric and heinous”, and further appealed to all sections to cooperate with the law enforcing authority to apprehend the criminal and award befitting punishment without showing any leniency.
ENWO: Eastern Nagaland Women Organization has condemned the assassination attempt on Imtila Jamir at her residence in Kohima. ENWO said that it was a shameful act of crime against women when Naga society was progressing in peace through women’s activities. It further appealed to law enforcing authorities to apprehend the culprits and deliver justice at the earliest.
MUK: Mao Union Kohima has condemned the life attempt made on M. Imtila Jamir, retired registrar of Cooperative Societies Nagaland on May 27. MUK appealed to all citizens and law enforcing agencies to collectively search for assailants and punish befittingly. The union further called upon all peace loving people to join in a silent procession on June 1.
NSF: Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) in its strongest term condemned the life attempt on Imtila Jamir, retired ARCS Nagaland on May 27 by one Worshim Tangkhul. In a condemnation note the federation has called upon the Nagas to take the matter seriously and stand united to moot out such inhuman and uncivilized acts from the Naga society once and for all. NSF urged the law enforcing agencies to book the culprit at the earliest and award exemplary and befitting punishment as per the law.
