WTC rolls back auto fare in Wokha town

After receiving complaints on high rate of auto fares for different destinations in Wokha, administrator, Wokha town council has issued order to all auto drivers of Wokha town to charge at the old rates till the new rate was fixed.
All auto drivers of Wokha town have been directed to display list of auto fares for various designate in front of the vehicle for public awareness of different rates.
Administrator Athel O Lotha has informed that the order would come into force with effect from date of issue of this order.
Any Auto drivers found charging higher rates and also failing to display the rates in the vehicles would be penalised a fine of `2,500/ as required under municipal Act of 2001. No complaint whatsoever shall be entertained thereafter, added the order.
