The new team of Sumi Hoho, while “turning its attention towards the present situation in Sumi areas,” has urged both the NSCN factions to maintain “status quo” before its general session (baghi hoho) as it still upheld the stand of the previous Sumi Hoho team. A joint statement released by Sumi Hoho president H.Hesso and secretary K.Himahito Chishi also urged the parties/signatories of covenant of reconciliation to restrain their activities to strengthen peace and reconciliation process.
