Glamazon Events was established in the year 2009 by Calvina Sumi, a professional make-up and hair stylist trained from Pivot Point Academy Delhi. Calvina, who was awarded the best student of the batch award, worked for Loreal and F Chisel (FTV) Delhi for five years. She also had a brief stint with designers such as Rohit Bal and Malini Ramani, model and celebrity like Tanushree Dutta, Liza, Esther Jamir and sports personality Vijender Singh. The driving force for her zeal and enthusiasm arose for a need to generate professional job avenues in the art of hair and grooming industry and to do away with the pressure on youth who are forced to pursue white collared jobs, or else branded as ‘educated unemployed’. The main challenge according to Calvina is doing away with the stigma of being unemployed and persuade originality, uniqueness and to celebrate the essence of self-reliance through hard work and become proficient. Moa disclosed the ‘Color trophy’ would comprise of four categories, i.e. Best make-up artist (male/female) and Best hair stylist (male/female) while the winner would walk away with a sum of `15000 cash prize along with a trophy and certificate.
