Mind Blowers Club (MBC) Dimapur would be organizing Northeast Summer Festival on June 20 and 21 at Dimapur Club ground from 4pm. The highlights of the program would be the 7th edition of Nagaland Art Fusion contest grand finale on June 20 and Northeast Art Fusion contest on June 21 and Alice in Wonderland band 2010 winner from Kohima and 2011 winner would compete in the NE contest to be held on June 21. Out of the fifteen bands selected for semi-finale through screening test held on last April, seven bands would be selected for the grand finale through public voting and would be judged accordingly from their performance through judges on final event. Public voting for selection of bands for semi-final would close on June 15 and all card holders have been requested to submit the cards on the said date. ID cards for the contestants would be issued on the same day and no bands would be allowed to enter the venue without the ID cards and reporting would start from 3:30pm at the main entry gate and no entries would be entertained after 4pm. Meanwhile, the organizers would provide a common drum kit and stage gears and all the contestants have been requested to bring their own guitars, keyboard, drum stick and other musical equipments if necessary and twelve minutes time allotment would be given to each bands including set up and dismantle of sound system. In the final night, selected seven semi-finalist bands would compete to score for the winner, runners up and 2nd runners up title and all 15 bands would perform for other category prizes and individual prizes based on judge points. Result of this week’s public voting are as follows – Off Beats, Black Creepers, Deciet in Chins, DRA, Domain and Deafen. Voting cards for the last final result week would be available at MBC office, Encore, Music Ground and Dream Café.
