Fellowship Colony Dimapur (FCD) has alleged that some fictitious individuals have been included in the list of beneficiaries from fellowship colony Dimapur under BPL scheme. FCD in a letter addressed to the director of food and supplies has demanded proof of existing individuals in Fellowship colony as per the list provided to them by the government of India within 10 days time. According to chairman of the colony Dr. Temsu Jamir, fictitious beneficiaries were listed in the list provided by directorate of food and civil supplies society for the purpose of providing medical insurance cover to BPL families which is currently undertaken through the labour department. FCD also alleged that government official asked the people to be photographed and finger prints taken under fictitious names with the assurance that it (fictitious names) would be converted to genuine names at the time of renewal after one year. The chairman also added that residents of the colony have refused to participate in such unethical practices.
