Tuensang forest department on Monday distributed thousands of various tree saplings to the rural villages which include Khudei, Nganpong and Helipong village to protect the environment and safety of the human being. The saplings were distributed under Forest Development Agency (FDA) which was lad by Lima, Range officer Tuensang along with the staff of Tuensang range. Lima emphasized on the importance of planting trees in the vicinity and also urged them to preserve environment. After distribution of the seedling to the villagers, the range officer along with the staff visited Narongtongpi Herbal garden in Tuensang district where sign board on various medicinal plants in the garden were put up. Meanwhile, the villagers have lauded forest department for providing seedling to the people and hoped that the department would continue with its contribution to the rural areas in near future.
