Nagaland contractors and suppliers union (NCSU) has raised objection against ‘Sintex industries Ltd’ for constructing GHS in various locations in the state under RMSA programme.
NCSU president Pele Khezhie and secretary Imsunok Jamir in a letter addressed to State Mission Director (RMSA), Nagaland Education Mission Society stated ‘Sintex Industries Ltd.’ had submitted tender for construction of GHS and state government was actively considering their tender even before the tender was officially opened. “This clearly showed that the tender was more or less a table tender and an act of nepotism and favoritism at the cost of the local contractors”, NCSU stated.
Stating that it was totally against such participation of non-NCSU members in the tender, the union said in the event of work order awarded to ‘Sintex industries Ltd’, the NCSU would not remain silent but resort to any degree of agitations as deem fit. The NCSU has also requested the authority to reject/delete the firm from further competing with local contractors.
