5 held; 4 for extortion, 1 with arms

Dimapur police arrested one person identified as Frento @ Mughavi (21), s/o Tozhevi of Khetoi village, while collecting money from shops at Nagarjan Friday. “On his revelation, the main accused who sent him to make collection of money from shop owners was arrested from Super Market area,” police said. The main accused was identified as one FGN “leacy” Honito Yeptho, s/o Lizhaye Yeptho of Nikhekhu village. Rs.4420 and demand slips of FGN were recovered from their possession, police said. On June 23, 24 AR personnel on routine MVCPs around Dimapur, apprehended three persons. NNC “2nd lt” Vikiho Sema (24), s/o Pukhaya Sema of Tichipa village and “raja peyu” Ato Sema (30), of NNC, s/o late Visto Sema of Showuba village were apprehended on extortion charges. Used booklet of tax receipts and coupons were recovered, police said. Meanwhile, one FGN “capt.” Khevito Yeptho (67), s/o Mirekhu Yeptho, a resident of Chekiye village, was apprehended for possessing one .22 pistol along with 7 rounds of ammunition in the magazine.
