But hairdresser Aimee Walton, 26 – the first woman to expose Ashley as a cheat in December 2007 – thinks not. They met at a club when Ashley, 30, was on a night out with his pals and he famously vomited and he allegedly slapped her bum so hard that his wedding ring left a mark. Aimee, a mum of two from south London says: ‘She’d be mad to forget what Ashley did to her and the pain he caused her’. ‘It might be in the past, but his infidelity will always be a part of their relationship’. ‘I fear history will repeat itself and she’ll end up back at square one’. ‘Then the whole country will be disappointed in her because she went back for more after he treated her so badly.’
