The organising secretary Chandan Biswas, social secretary Ratan Deb and finance secretary Nirmalendu Barua under the leadership of KK Paul of Dimapur Bengali Samaj (DBS) attended the Shardha ceremony of the deceased Niranjan Das, an employee of M/S. Y Enterprises who was killed in the grenade blast on June 30 at 3rd Mile, Dimapur. DBS also donated `5,000 to the next kin of the deceased and assured the family members for further assistance in future.
Meanwhile, Chandan Biswas, organising secretary has appealed to all sections of society to come forward for rendering assistance to the bereaved family. Pankaj Jain, proprietor of M/S Y Enterprises who was present on the occasion assured to render assistance to the family members of Niranjan Das.
RCK condemns
Rotaract Club Kohima (RCK) has condemned the June 30 incident wherein one of its members Asa Khazo (30 years) got injured along with his brother Kelethuto Khazo (40 years) of Jakhama village in a bomb blast at a Cement Retail Store, Dimapur.
Condemning the incident in the strongest term, the club also requested the law enforcing agencies to book the culprit(s) at the earliest and punish the same accordingly.
RCK further prayed for a speedy recovery to the victims.
