ATMA Kiphire on July 12 distributed cell phones to farmers of Kiphire district at DC Conference hall Kiphire with C.M Tsanglao, deputy commissioner Kiphire as chief guest.
Speaking at the program, DC Kiphire acknowledged the efforts of ATMA and government for introducing programs for the benefit of farmers in the district.
DC also expressed that the phones provided to the farmers should be used in the right way and inform officers in-charge and departments in times of need.
DC also asked AMTA members to submit their proposal to the government so as to get their share of schemes.
Lamenting on the negligence of officers in Kiphire district, DC said “Failing our responsibility means failing our people”, adding officers in their respective offices should do their duty sincerely.
Dr. Akashe Zhimomi Dy. PD while briefing said farmers should know how to speak even if one was illiterate and asked them (farmers) to disseminate information to other farmers about the meeting. Dr. Hukai Zhimomi Dy. PD who initiated in distributing the cell phones, also furnished the Kissan Call Center number (18001551) to the farmers.
