The actor and former governor of California has asked the judge in their case to refuse Shriver’s request for spousal support, documents obtained by TMZ suggest.
Schwarzenegger’s la-wyer Bob Kaufman filed the papers at the Superior Court of California, which were stamped on Wednesday.
Like Shriver, Schwa-rzenegger has cited divorce on the grounds of irreconcilable differences in his paperwork.
The papers also show that Schwarzenegger has requested joint custody of his two youngest children with Shriver, 17-year-old Patrick and 13-year-old Christopher, mirroring her own custody petition.
One further key difference between the documents is that Shriver has asked for Schwarzenegger to pay all legal fees and costs, whereas he has requested that both parties pay for their own lawyers.
Shriver officially filed for divorce from Schwarzenegger on July 1. The former couple announced their separation in May after 25 years of marriage following revelations that Schwarzenegger had fathered a son with a long-term member of his household staff.
