Tenyimei Public Organisation (TPO)has urged the state government to clarify about the true picture on “serious accusations” leveled by the Western Sumi Hoho (WSH) to the public over the disappearance of the dead body of late Inashe, as reported in the media.TPO president Z.M. Sekhose and general secretary Benjamin Lorin also requested the state government to “physically verify and clarify” to the public, whether the ‘controversial gate of Beisumpuikam’ was a ‘war gate’ as alleged by WSH or a ‘traditional village gate’ as claimed Zeliangrong Baudi (N) “in order to avoid possible misunderstanding and physical confrontation among the parties involved.” TPO also urged both parties to maintain calm, peace and tranquility in the larger interest of “our Naga communities.” The signatories asserted that it was known to all Nagas that the crisis within Ntangki National Park has gone from bad to worse adding “Beisumpuikam is the threatening flash point of the crisis now.” TPO cautioned that the “extreme good or poisonous evil” that Ntangki National Park can produce in the coming years, for Nagas, cannot be underestimated by any one. It said any of the consequences would depend on whether or not, those involved choose to cooperate to resolve the problem with a serious sense of responsibility as the present situation demanded. TPO reaffirmed its belief in democratic and legal means through transparency and peaceful method for preserving and protecting Ntangki, the “priceless forest eco-system for the interest of all Nagas in particular and mankind in general.”
