New marketing shed at NH 39

A marketing shed constructed by DRDA Dimapur under SGSY on National Highway 39 at Tseipama village was inaugurated Wednesday by Visasolie Lhoungu, Project Director, DRDA Dimapur as chief guest in presence former MLA Rokonicha, Programme Officer, Alemla Chishi, departmental officials and village elders.
The marketing shed which has a large parking lot and toilet facility will allow Tseipama villager especially women to sell organic vegetables and fruits to people traveling on the highway, and thus add towards improving the economic status of the village. The project was completed at the cost of `4 lakhs. 
Speaking on the occasion after officially handing over the marketing shed to the village, chief guest reiterated that since the facility belonged to the people, it was the responsibility of every villager to protect and preserve the common assets of the people.
He said the department was only there to assist and felicitate the village to successfully implement the scheme and after which the rest depends on the villagers to maintain the common property of the village. 
Toshimongla, DPO (SGSY) called on the villagers to utilize the market shed purposefully and cater to the needs of the travelers who would look to buy organic products grown in the village and not brought from places like Dimapur.
The programme was chaired by Tsuktiyatet, BDO Medziphema. Rev. Zhadiu Nagi, said the invocation for inauguration. Vikoneizo Nakhro, chairman, Tseipama village council. Pastor Pulhou pronounced the benediction.
