Even 24 hours after a complaint was lodged with the West Police Station by two journalists of Nagaland Post on the July 30 night armed robbery incident near Metro Hospital, no police officer had tried to contact the victims. After the incident, the victims went to the police station with the written complaint at around 12.30 a.m. . Two policemen on duty received the complaint letter and asked them to meet the officer in-charge the next morning (Sunday). On Sunday, on reaching the police station, the officer was not in but his mobile number was given. Attempts to contact the officer failed as the mobile was out of reach. Later Sunday evening, when a phone call was made to the police station to know the fate of the complaint, it was informed that there was “no development” on the case. The matter has been brought to the notice of the higher authorities and response was still awaited.
